I am an INFJ and I’m a better human being for it

The two most important days of your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why.

Mark Twain

For most of my life I’ve always felt out of place. I’ve always felt as if I was the only one in the room who was able to see certain things or think a certain way. As a young kid, you embrace it. As you get older, society tells you it’s strange and you find yourself suppressing your gifts or participating in acts of self-sabotage in order to feel less strange. For anyone who needs it, especially INFJs, everything you are doing in this very moment is and will always be the right choice.

It’s in our nature to overthink things because we are perfectionist. It’s in our nature to feel deeply about people and things because we are sensitive empaths. It’s in our nature to be weird and that’s okay. I spend an embarrassing amount of time googling things because I love to learn and figure out how to make myself better. This happens every single day. If you’re like me, you tend to be attracted to the same things no matter how far you drift apart. For example, minimalism, religion, and entrepreneurship are things I’ve tried to escape in my life for one reason or another and I always come back to them. So embrace your nature, you’re different for a reason.

This blog will put my life “on the record” for my family, friends, INFJs, and whoever decides to read this blog. It will be my truth about what it took to be myself.
